Atlantic Bulk Carrier Corporation began operations in February 1971 to provide quality bulk-hauling services at reasonable rates. That tradition continues today at the family owned and operated contract carrier and tank leasing operation.
“We’re here to provide low-cost, quality service,” says Atlantic Bulk Carrier founder Gary W. Short. “Our company has grown with this philosophy in mind.”
Since its founding in February 1971, Atlantic Bulk Carrier Corporation has grown to include more than 600 pieces of equipment, including a well maintained fleet of late-model tractors and some of the most specialized liquid and dry bulk tanks on the road.
Based in Providence Forge, Virginia, Atlantic Bulk Carrier covers all of the United States and Canada, with the majority of operations focused on the Southeast. Atlantic Bulk Carrier belongs to the National Tank Truck Carriers Association, South Carolina Trucking Association and the Virginia Trucking Association. Atlantic Bulk participates in state and national programs designed to enhance safety and promote traffic safety for all drivers.
