Since its founding in 1971 by Gary W. Short, Atlantic Bulk Carrier has grown to become the largest tank-truck carrier based in Virginia. Safety, service and reliability have provided the foundation for our growth for nearly a half a century.


We handle both liquid and dry materials, including hazardous and non-hazardous commodities, ranging from chemical compounds, mined aggregates to plastic resins. Our operations are concentrated along the East Coast, although the company is licensed for all of the continental United States and Canada. We provide dedicated service to some of the largest and best manufacturers, including Fortune 500 companies.

Several customers, including Fortune 500 companies, have recognized Atlantic Bulk for outstanding performance and safety.
